Meanwhile, MQM sources have confirmed that Altaf Hussain was arrested.

Sources further informed Geo News that Altaf Hussain was being kept at a police station in central London and would be questioned by Scotland Yard.

FIA sources have told Geo News that the arrest of Altaf Hussain has not been officially communicated. However, a team of Scotland Yard which visited Pakistan had been provided evidence pertaining to money laundering by FIA.

It’s believed that Altaf Hussain has been arrested in relation to the hate speech of 2016 in which he had urged his followers to take law into their own hands. Also, Altaf Hussain had issues violent threats to former DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar.
